It would be quite judgemental to say every female artists must subdue their appetite of acting for protecting the family sentiments and social prestige.

When it comes to acting, let one be a female artist or male artist, it is career for both! For everyone, their life goal is important.

For south actresses there are some probable threats when they get married :

1. Restrictions from inlaws to act in films. (especially this happens in actor-lineage families itself, thats the irony!).

2. Lack of support from the better half. Threat of divorce, over possessiveness of husband, some men cannot assimilate the fact that they are known by their wife's name, etc.

3. Rumors from envious partners (Co-actors) affect their family harmony.

Memes in the social media by capturing their casual greetings with their co-stars and exaggerating it into a romantic act.

4. Some actresses are unable to find a suitable bridefor themselves midst of treacherous co artists! Their search continues, till they hit their 40s (or cross their their early 30s)!

In kollywood, after a well-known actress got married, had kids and struggled a lot to make come back from the sabbatical! Yes, it took so much for her to convince her inlaws. (I don't want mention the name directly as it would arise unnecessary controversy).
